VTA Customs (“Us”, “We”)
Customer (“You”, “Your”)
Please take the time to read the following in its entirety to completely understand the terms and conditions of essential factors when dealing with the purchase and maintenance of the window film material. You are solely responsible for reviewing our terms and conditions prior to submitting request to have work performed. This is a binding contract between VTA Customs and You, the customer, that begins by paying a deposit or handing the keys to your vehicle to a member of VTA Customs.
The customer or assigned agent agrees to make full payment prior to vehicle release unless stated otherwise on the invoice and agree to be responsible for collection fees including administration fees and court costs for any unpaid balances at the interest rate of 18% per annum. Any special order materials for the customers’ job is required to be paid for in full prior to the order of the film/vinyl before the work will be performed. If custom material is ordered it is non-refundable and there is a 25% restocking fee on top of the already purchased film cost. You will pay the remaining balance including any additional cost or fees upon completion of the job prior to release of the vehicle.
Condition of the glass prior to window film installation
Vehicles must be delivered to our location clean and free of grease, dirt, oil, dog hair, debris, cigarette ash and free from existing window film material. Excessive dirt will void your warranty. VTA Customs is not responsible for the condition the car is bought to us in. Any existing scratches, cracks and excessive dirt or any other damage will be visible through the film and such surface damage or imperfections may damage the film, cause the film to fail prematurely or the window film material may not adhere to the surface at all. We are not responsible for broken windows if there is damage prior to installation. We are not responsible for the condition of the glass/vehicle prior to the window film being installed or what is underneath the window film once installed.
Baby Seats and Recording Devices
Any recording devices such as dash cams and baby seats if the vehicle is a saloon or coupe must be removed prior to delivering the car to Us. We may remove any such devices or baby seats if left in the vehicle and are not responsible for correct installation of such items. It is Your responsibility to ensure correct installation prior to use.
Returns
The window film is a non-returnable item once the material is cut and/or installed per the customers’ personal request.
If an issue arises, the customer must submit their complaint in writing and give Us the opportunity to see the issue and try and resolve the issue prior to pursuing any legal actions. Since all window film applications are customised to the customers’ specifications, VTA Customs must be given the opportunity to address any issues, including repair and reinstallation. Since window film is custom installed to the customers’ specifications, once the film is cut and/or installed all contracts are final and no monetary refunds will be issued.
Vehicle Inspection & Condition
VTA Customs will complete a pre-inspection the day the vehicle is delivered and alert the customer of any concerns prior to work being performed. We will also perform a post inspection once the vehicle is completed prior to the release of the vehicle.

We reserve the right to refuse any work on any vehicle for any reason.
Installation
Window film is a pliable material that is made to be installed on glass. We make every effort to make it look as clean as possible, however, there are many factors that can contribute to contamination including but not limited to; the age of the vehicle, conditions of the glass, airborne dust particles and vehicle cleanliness.
Per the IWFA (International Window Film Association) the glass with applied films shall be viewed at right angles to the glass at a distance no less than six (6) feet. Viewing shall be carried out in natural daylight, not in direct sunlight. The installation is deemed acceptable if all of the following are unobtrusive (effects 30-60 days cure time should be disregarded). Dirt particles, hair and fibres, adhesive gels, fingerprints, air bubbles, water haze, scores and scratches, film distortion, creases, edge lifting, nicks and tears. If any of these conditions still exist after 30-60 days We request the Customer return at such time to have us evaluate the film. We can not do an inspection over the phone, via email or through pictures. We must see the vehicle/glass at our location for inspection once installed, window film is intended to be viewed from a distance of a minimum of six (6) feet from the glass and is deemed acceptable.
Dot Matrix
Most vehicles have a black ceramic edge on the rear windows and on occasion also on the side windows, in some cases the ceramic edge is straight and flat and in others it will be have a dotted edge, this is often referred to as the ‘Dot Matrix’. These raised black ceramic dots prevent the window film from bonding to the gaps between them, this will result in the appearance of a ‘trim’ around the edge of the glass. The width of the ceramic dots determines how pronounced this will be and is unavoidable.
Warranty
Our vehicle window tinting services carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects such as cracking, glazing, de-lamination, peeling and bubbling. In such event, VTA Customs will repair or replace the defective piece.
In the unlikely event the window film application experiences a failure, contact us in writing to make a claim. We must see the vehicle/glass at our location for inspection prior to any replacement or repair work being carried out.
Any damage to the window film – for example, putting something in the boot and it scratches the film – is not covered under this warranty.
The warranty is non-transferrable and will require the original receipt or invoice to make a claim.
Excessive dirt, dog hair, sand, debris or cigarette ash will void your warranty.
Accuracy of Specifications
Estimates are based on the accuracy of the specifications provided to us by You, the customer. If We discover after accepting the job or vehicle that modifications need to be made, we will notify You immediately – at which time a decision will be made whether there will be additional costs and how You wish for Us to proceed. Any verbal requests or orders by the customer will be accepted, but in the absence of supportive documentation, VTA Customs will not accept responsibility for the inaccuracies in requests over the phone by the customer. We make every effort to quote a job accurately; but in the event of unforeseen circumstances or costs, We will notify You if there will need to be cost adjustment or if delays will result.
Removal
The window film we use is of high quality and the adhesive is designed to be removed again. On the windows with heater/aerial lines, we cannot however guarantee that removing this film will leave these lines intact. Due to a number of factors such as age of the vehicle, how long the film has been on the glass, whether the window is OEM or aftermarket etc., there is a chance that removing the film can damage the heater lines, this is applicable for both warranty work and removing film that’s already on a vehicle. We use the correct techniques and procedures to minimise this risk however sometimes it’s unavoidable.
